On this website

The five-challenge website sample keeps your selections in browser memory for the current visit. It does not submit them to our server or save an app profile. Its Listen buttons play existing audio files hosted with this site; they do not generate new speech. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration or a mailing-list form. Fonts and artwork do not require a separate third-party font or image service.

Vercel, our website hosting provider, processes ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. Links to other websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy practices.

Offline practice on your device

After a language pack is downloaded and selected, practice history, responses, timing, word ratings and focus selections are stored locally in the app. The downloaded pack includes the exercises and audio needed for offline use.

That local progress is not automatically backed up to our server in the current preview. Deleting the app may erase it. Removing a downloaded pack from Settings preserves your local learning history.

When the preview goes online

The app contacts our service to obtain available packs, download content and recordings, and check for updates. Existing preview users may also import their prior server-held learning history when setting up offline use.

Online practice remains available for preview installations without a selected offline pack. In that mode our service processes and stores practice responses, timing, results, word ratings and learning history. The backend uses Vercel hosting and Turso storage.

Audio, dictation and AI services

The Spanish pack contains pre-generated ElevenLabs audio. Playing an already downloaded recording does not require a new request to ElevenLabs.

If you use keyboard dictation or an iPhone voice, Apple’s device features and settings govern how that audio or speech is handled. Lexidex receives the text entered into the response field; it does not operate its own microphone-recording service for keyboard dictation.

In online practice, a typed answer that cannot be evaluated by the built-in rules may be sent with its exercise context to Google’s Gemini service for evaluation. Downloaded offline practice does not make that request. Offline answers outside the supported answer set may be marked unverified rather than counted as a mistake.

During the private preview, contact Twice Forged through the channel where you received your invitation for questions about your data or requests concerning server-held preview history. Do not send access keys or passwords.
