Lexidex is currently in private preview on iPhone. Here are the essentials for getting the most out of your next five.
Joining the preview
Public App Store availability has not been announced. If you already have an invitation, use the installation instructions supplied with it. This website does not distribute the private app or access keys.
Download your Spanish pack
Open Settings in Lexidex and download the Spanish pack while connected to the internet. Wait for the download to finish before going offline. A paused download can be resumed.
Once installed, the pack includes practice, word checks and audio. An internet connection is still needed for pack downloads and updates.
Audio and dictation
Use Listen on an answer page to hear the included recording. If you cannot hear it, check your media volume and connected headphones or Bluetooth speaker.
Typing is always available. Dictation uses your iPhone’s keyboard; its availability and offline support depend on your device, installed languages and settings.
Your words and progress
Word Check is a separate activity for rating how well you know individual words and forms. Tap-answer practice contributes recognition evidence; it does not automatically assign a self-rating or prove spoken mastery.
Keep the app installed to keep your local progress. The current offline preview stores progress on your device and does not provide an automatic cloud backup. Deleting the app may remove that data. Removing a language pack through Settings keeps your local learning history.
Something isn’t right?
During the private preview, report issues through the channel where you received your invitation. Include what you were doing, the prompt or word involved, your iPhone model and the app version. A screenshot is useful; leave out access keys and any personal information you do not want to share.
